The mission was assigned to two senior civil servants. In public debates, some commentators have invoked the US [[Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)]] as a _loosely analogous rhetorical reference_, largely because both initiatives emphasise trimming bureaucracy. However, the French mission is more technocratic in tone and modest in scope.
