**Name:** Equity in Infrastructure Project (EIP)
**What is it:** An initiative designed to improve public contracting practices by creating more prime, joint venture, and equity contracting opportunities for [[Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs)]]. Its goal is to build generational wealth and reduce the racial wealth gap by securing commitments (through a "Pledge") from public agencies to increase the size and scope of contracts going to HUBs. The project was founded in anticipation of the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and seeks to advance [[Biden Administration|Biden’s Justice40 Initiative]].
