**What is it:** German nonprofit that designs and runs collective action processes on social and institutional challenges. Works by identifying a problem, building a multi-sector alliance around it and running an open call for solutions. Each thematic program is called a "Mission".

### Selected Missions / Projects
- **ActOnPlastic (2019)** — Program on plastic waste reduction. One output was [Traceless](https://www.traceless.eu), a bioeconomy startup later funded by the Federal Environment Ministry.
- **Farm-Food-Climate (2020)** — Multi-stakeholder platform for redesigning the agricultural and food sector. Brings together farms, retail chains, and startups.
- **Alliance4Ukraine (2022)** — Refugee support coordination across Berlin and nine other German cities; reached over 25,000 displaced persons and volunteers.
- **[[Reform DE|re:form]] (2023)** — Alliance of public administration practitioners working on government reform across federal, state, and municipal levels. Funded by Stiftung Mercator.
- **[[Bauwende Allianz]] (2025)** — Coalition on faster housing construction, coordinated in partnership with the Federal Ministry for Housing (BMWSB). Supports municipalities in applying the experimental clause (§ 246e BauGB) from the ["Bau-Turbo" law](https://www.tagesschau.de/inland/innenpolitik/beschluss-bauturbo-wohnungspolitik-100.html), which allows cities to expedite new housing approvals.
