## Notes from 11 May 2025 [[2025-05-10|← Previous note]] ┃ [[2025-05-12|Next note →]] I really enjoyed [this piece](https://tomwestgarth.substack.com/p/join-the-uk-progress-idea-machine) by [[Tom Westgarth]] ([[Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI)|Tony Blair Institute]]) and [[Andrew Bennett]] ([[Centre for British Progress]]). It goes beyond listing organizations in the UK's progress and abundance movement and offers a clear analysis of how they relate to each other, where funding flows, and what gaps remain. I particularly enjoyed their use of the concept of "idea machine", borrowed from [Nadia Asparouhova](https://nadia.xyz/idea-machines), with a mental map of its components that helps me imagine how policy networks in Brazil could be sketched in the same way. They walk through the role of each organization at a high level, showing how ideas move from concepts to real projects. [Inclusive Abundance](https://www.inclusiveabundance.org/abundance-in-action/abundance-landscape) is doing a similar mapping project in the US, tracking key groups and initiatives there, and they are doing fantastic work. Both mappings provide a practical guide for anyone who wants to understand the landscape or get involved in building momentum.
