# december 2023 updates
Greetings everyone! Some cool updates from this December.
On December 4, I had the pleasure of being invited by the Management Secretariat of the Municipality of São Paulo to analyze and discuss innovative initiatives developed by the HR teams of the city government at the 13th Human Resource Management Seminar. The event was attended by around 100 HR leaders and provided an excellent platform to delve into the challenges and [interesting solutions](https://clic.prefeitura.sp.gov.br/) being implemented.
December 11th was an important day in the context of the 10th Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP10) in Atlanta. I participated (online) in the launch of the “[Policy Guide for National Anti-Corruption Authorities on Meaningful Youth Engagement in Anti-Corruption Work](https://www.icac.org.hk/icac/myeguide/en/index.html)“. This project, a collaboration between Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), UNODC and IAACA, was supported by my contributions as a member of [UNODC’s Youth Advisory Board, YouthLED](https://grace.unodc.org/grace/en/youth-empowerment/YouthLED.html). Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been part of an advisory group of experts and young people who have contributed critiques and ideas to the document. The end result is truly remarkable.
On December 12, I celebrated the successful completion of the pilot of the [Elos Mentoring Program](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/katia-miyuki-tsuji_programa-piloto-mentoria-elos-h%C3%A1-tempos-activity-7120148343325929472-dFkG/?trk=public_profile_like_view&originalSubdomain=pt), an initiative close to my heart that I helped design (along with my trusty friend Michael Cerqueira!) and actively participated in implementing. This program, a collaboration between the [FGV EAESP Alumni Association](https://eaesp.fgv.br/en/alumni) and the FGV EAESP Career Center, is particularly meaningful to me as a first-generation college graduate. It aims to connect current first-generation students at FGV EAESP with alumni who have walked a similar path. This initiative holds a special place in my journey and resonates deeply with my own experiences. I am immensely grateful to all the mentors and mentees who participated and ensured the success of the pilot edition, and I eagerly anticipate the next edition in 2024.
Last but certainly not least, I am thrilled to share that I am now part of the [Lemann Foundation Leaders Network](https://fundacaolemann.org.br/en/developing-tomorrows-leaders)! This wonderful news caps off the year! I now join over 700 Brazilian leaders committed to transforming Brazil. After a rigorous multi-stage selection process, I am among the 60 new people joining this diverse community, comprising leaders from all sectors, regions of Brazil, and various fields, all aiming to drive the changes we need!
Wrapping up the year with immense enthusiasm for what’s ahead. Wishing everyone a fantastic end of the year, and see you in January!
